how to prepare economics for upsc

So the main question which arises is:

How to prepare Indian Economy (Economics) for UPSC CSE Mains Examination?

The preparation of any subject usually stands on 4 pillars of strategy.

  1. Syllabus (which is already provided by UPSC)
  2. Key terms with concept (including definitions and their features)
  3. Previous year questions (PYQs)

One of the most important thing which should be kept in mind while preparing Economics is to read the Budget and Economic Survey of India thoroughly.

Also, some of the data/fact related to Indian Economy (such as rank/performance of India in various global reports) must be kept in mind as it is proved to be very useful while writing answer in examination.
